Together with our IT department and Innovation Team, you'll translate needs into scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions that deliver real results.You will professionalize our development practices, lead the team toward a mature software lifecycle, and contribute hands-on to the development of applications—with a particular focus on geodata and customer-centric web platforms.Team Structure & LeadershipGuide and motivate a technical team with diverse profiles.Establish a consistent development methodology (Scrum, Agile, CI/CD).Create structure and transparency through sprints, standups, ticket tracking, and documentation.Software Lifecycle & QualitySet up a structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from analysis to deployment.Ensure code quality, test automation, documentation, and secure coding standards.Promote best practices for code management, versioning, dependencies, and internal knowledge sharing.Technical ContributionActively contribute to projects and take ownership of complex or critical components.Work with a tech stack based on open technologies (Linux, PHP, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, etc.).Help develop a modular and secure web platform for clients, with geospatial data (GeoTIFF, shapefiles, etc.) at its core.Introduce modern building blocks such as event streaming, API gateways, monitoring, containerization, and documentation standards.Collaboration & InnovationReport to the Innovation Manager and collaborate closely with IT and other internal stakeholders.Contribute ideas for integrating AI into GEOxyz’s innovation framework, ensuring safe and maintainable software implementations.Stay up to date with market trends and translate relevant innovations into realistic, valuable applications within our context.What do we expect from you?Several years of experience as a Lead Developer, Software Architect, or Technical Project Manager.Strong technical background and hands-on experience with open technologies.Familiar with SDLC, Agile principles, DevOps, and modern web platforms.Experience or affinity with geodata/GIS is a strong plus.Practical mindset, results-driven, and excellent team player.Fluent in Dutch and professional proficiency in English.What we offer?A stimulating role in a fast-growing organization.A pleasant and dynamic working atmosphere within a young team.Opportunities for growth and personal development within our company.The chance to work on diverse projects using the latest high-tech equipment.
