We are looking for an experienced IT Developer - Expert to join a dynamic and cross-functional team working in the heart of Brussels. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact projects within a collaborative and agile environment.Mission ContextYou will be part of the IT Transversal Capabilities & Functions team, which is responsible for developing and supporting the foundations of banking applications. These foundations include:
Frameworks (Java, .NET, etc.)
Content management systems (OpenText, Adobe, etc.)
API gateways and integration layers between front-end and legacy systems
The squad you will join specifically handles document generation and distribution for both internal and external customers.Your Role.NETAs an Expert Java Developer, you will:
Lead and organize functional analysis for new and existing features
Develop and enhance solutions for document generation and distribution
Collaborate closely with lead developers, consultants, and integrators
Write analysis reports and user guides
Provide advice and support on document generation topics
Actively participate in testing phases and continuous improvements
Your ProfileRequired Experience & Knowledge
At least 6 years of professional experience as a Java engineer in an agile environment
Strong expertise in Java/Spring, OO design, REST, SOA, and testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
Experience working with cloud environments
Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and DevOps practices
Understanding of Operating Systems (Unix, Windows) and middleware configuration
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver clean, maintainable code
Preferred Experience
Experience with Scrum
Previous exposure to the banking/financial sector
Familiarity with service management tools and CI/CD pipelines
