It has 12 major manufacturing facilities based in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Austria, and the UK.Join Daikin Europe as HR Financial Controller!Your Role:As a HR Financial Controller at Daikin Europe, you'll be at the heart of shaping the financial and cost aspects of human resources management. You actively share your knowledge and experience with HR colleagues across EMEA, elevating their understanding and fostering collaboration with local financial controllers. Your leadership in labour budget management sets the standard across all HR teams in EMEA, making a significant impact on the organization's financial efficiency. This role requires close cooperation with Corporate Planning, providing insights from a total P&L perspective, and collaboration with Finance & Accounting. This involves frequent discussions with leadership teams from different departments to balance needs and costs effectively.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Team management and growth: Supervise, guide, and support a current team of 2 remote employees in executing their duties, with a vision for future growth. As the organization evolves, there will be opportunities to expand and build a dynamic team under your leadership, contributing to the continued success of Daikin Europe.
  • Financial Oversight: Take charge of planning, creating, analysing, and reporting on the financial aspects of human resources management - specifically labour costs. Align these aspects with the yearly total company budget of Daikin Europe, in accordance with the company's budget cycle. The purpose of labour budget creation is to control the labour cost ratio and make informed decisions accordingly.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the draw-up, analysis and monthly reporting of Daily Operational Expenses within the HR division, ensuring precision and efficiency. Working closely together with the HR cost controllers, you take the ownership to keep our operational expenses within the corporate guidelines.
  • Manpower Reporting: Manage the monthly reporting of manpower for the entire Daikin Group across the EMEA region, contributing to a comprehensive overview. You are responsible for the EMEA manpower data quality, for corporate controlling to present the correct P&L.
  • HR Key Figures & Reporting: Contribute to the development of management reports and HR key figures to top management. Create a value-added HR dashboard for the EMEA region using SuccessFactors, Daikin's international HR tool.
  • Subsidy Application: Conduct research into subsidies related to labour costs (payroll tax & social security) in the EMEA region. Develop follow-up and reporting tools for local organizations.
  • Project Involvement: Engage in diverse human resources projects inherent to a multinational company. Specifically in the area of compensation and benefits, digitalisation of HR processes and manpower data management.
Your Profile:
  • Education: Hold a master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related areas. Basic knowledge of accounting is a plus.
  • Experience: Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position, demonstrating interest and affinity for personnel-related budgets and data.
  • Detail-Oriented: Work with precision, diving into the details to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Result-Driven: Demonstrate a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and social skills, thriving both as a team player and an independent contributor.
  • Language Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency in English.
  • Technical Skills: Familiar with PowerPoint, proficient in creating and linking complex Excel files and working with pivot tables, and basic knowledge in Power BI. Experience with HCM and SAP, extracting data and utilizing the functionality of queries.
