Our client is a globally recognised company active in the production of keg filling lines for the beer brewing sector. All their high-quality machines are designed, developed and assembled in their production facility. The company is located on the Sint-Niklaas-Puurs axis. In view of their international growth, we are looking to strengthen their team with a motivated: Technical Sales Engineer/CalculatorIn this role, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support, calculating detailed quotations for filling line machines, preparing customer-oriented quotations and acting as a crucial link between the sales, engineering and project teams.Your responsibilities are specifically as follows:Technical Sales Support
  • Interpret customer inquiries and specifications to propose suitable keg line configurations.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to prepare technically accurate offers and project cost estimations.
  • Support the external sales team with internal technical documentation, CAD layout suggestions, and system configuration guidelines.
Calculations & Quotation Preparation
  • Calculate project-specific pricing based on bill of materials (BoM), standard costs, and project complexity.
  • Maintain and update pricing models for modular system components and customized solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical-commercial proposals, including scope of supply, machine specifications, and utility requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as liaison between sales, design, engineering, and project teams to ensure technical feasibility and consistency of offers.
  • Participate in internal design reviews for new or customized equipment solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of calculations with project timelines, resource availability, and procurement constraints.
Data Management & Documentation
  • Manage and maintain quotation databases, CRM records, and proposal archives.
  • Assist in updating internal product catalogues and configurator tools.
  • Monitor and report on proposal success rates, trends, and market feedback.
  • You have a Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar internal technical sales or calculation position.
  • Familiar with production machines used in the food- and beverage sector — preferably in the beer brewing sector.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics, automation and fluid transport systems.
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience with CAD software (such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks) is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • You are familiar with ERP systems.
  • You have strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in managing complex and long-term sales processes.
