We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient, safely, optimally, competitively and always. Besides production of API's, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. We work together in a dynamic environment where innovation and a 'can do' state of mind are common good.As a Staff Expert PSM, you’re a member of the Site EH&S Occupational Safety & Process Safety Team, and you will feel the beating heart of our pharmaceutical manufacturing.If you are detail-oriented, solution driven, collaborative and passionate about Occupational & Technical Safety, and like to work with many functions and levels of the organization, then this job might be perfect for you.Major responsibilities
  • You are responsible for further developing and maturing the PSM (Process Safety Management) program in our Geel site (Seveso TIER1).
  • You will have ownership for specific EH&S topics linked to PSM or Technical Safety: for example. ATEX, HAZOP/LOPA, SIL/PL, Static electricity, Machine Safety, ….
  • You further expand PSM expertise together with the technical departments and the global PSM organization
  • You participate in various process risk analyzes and monitor their quality
  • You develop a training plan for process safety, create and provide specific process safety training
  • You will address as first point of contact daily related to EHS questions, investigation, technical changes, and continuous improvement initiatives for a part of production.
  • You assist or lead internal and external audits.
  • You participate in an on-call system in the context of internal emergency planning at the Geel site
Qualification-EducationYou are a technical bachelor or equivalent through experience.You have a degree in prevention advisor level 1 or 2.Experience and SkillRequiredYou have followed additional training in process safety or Technical Safety and are willing to further develop by taking additional training courses.You enjoy achieving results, both independently and with diverse teamsYou can deal with people at all levels within a large and complex organization.You can take the initiative to achieve goals and achieve results in a timely manner. Being able to plan your own tasks in advance is therefore important.PreferredYou have knowledge and at least 5 years' experience in the field of chemistry, process safety and technical safetyYou are business focused, proactive, and can be a true teammate.You like to work in a sophisticated and constantly evolving international environment.You take the initiative, are capable of accurately assessing priorities, even under time pressure, and you are a decision-maker.OtherYou are proficiency in spoken and written English and Dutch.You are willing to travel (10%).Procedure to apply.You can apply for this function by filling out the form on our website.
