Academic Software acts as an intermediary for the purchase of software licences (such as Microsoft and Adobe) and offers an online software portal with more than 900 software titles for secondary and higher education.We are currently looking for an System and Cloud Engineer to support our growth and strengthen our entrepreneurial, dynamic team.What does your day as a system and cloud engineer look like?As a system and cloud engineer in the Signpost group you will partly work in the Internal IT organization, and you will help with third line issues for the service desk of Academic Software.Your focus will be on Microsoft products like Azure and the Office 365 suite.In the internal IT organization, you will mainly focus on systems and platforms that are used by customers.You work in a pro-active manner and help to think how to make these systems as redundant and reliable as possible.Together with the team you will discuss how new application requests can be published within the Academic Software platform (virtualization, licensing distribution with native install, Intune package with license included, …) and configure them following predefined procedures and security measures.You always try to automate as much as possible with scripts written in PowerShell or other scripting languages.To have a guaranteed uptime of the applications you work together with the first line internal IT colleagues to help solve the more advanced monitoring issues.As an System & Cloud Engineer you possess the following skills:5 years' + of relevant professional experienceStrong working knowledge of the Office 365 suite, and all required tools and products (Sharepoint, Exchange, Power apps, …)Advanced knowledge designing, supporting, and upgrading Active Director environments (Authentication, Authorization, Group Policy Objects, LDAP, DNS, etc)Secure Hybrid environments (AD Connect and authentication)Azure AD App RegistrationAuthentication Methods (sign-on security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) device sign-on methods, Azure Seamless SSO)Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaSPowershell or other scripting languageWindows server (hyper-v, RDS, Radius, …)Able to work with monitoring tools like Nable, Solarwinds, Nagios, …Understanding of network engineering (Port forwarding, routing, VPN, …)Good communication skillsFluent in EnglishWhat are we offering you?A versatile position in a company that is writing a strong growth story both locally and internationally.
