We are currently looking for a talented Business Controller to join our finance team and drive financial excellence across our business units.The opportunityAs our new Business Controller, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to our business units, providing critical insights that drive informed decision-making and profitable growth. This role bridges the gap between finance and operations, translating financial data into actionable business intelligence. You'll play a pivotal role in our financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring transparency in performance reporting and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency.Key responsibilities
Partner with department heads across Marketing, Sales, IT, and R&D to provide financial insights, cost transparency, and business case analyses
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings at management level with a focus on P&L analysis
Develop and monitor annual budgets while implementing automated quarterly forecasting processes
Support the end-to-end budget process by setting targets, facilitating discussions with budget owners, and establishing actionable metrics
Perform comprehensive profitability analyses and recommend strategic actions to foster growth
Manage cost price calculations in SAP
Deliver insightful financial presentations to management, highlighting risks and opportunities
Collaborate closely with the group controller and accounting department
Report directly to the CFO
ProfileWhat you'll bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commercial Engineering, or Applied Economic Sciences
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, financial planning & analysis, or audit
Experience with SAP financial modules and Power BI or similar BI tools
Advanced financial analysis and modeling capabilities
Strong proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools
Strategic thinking and business acumen
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and verbal
