Location: Antwerp Area, Belgium
Contract Type: 12 month contract, PermanentAbout the Role:We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to a range of industrial projects across the oil & gas, chemical, food, and pharmaceutical sectors. This role requires a strong technical background in both steel and concrete structures, combined with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and take ownership of project deliverables.Responsibilities:Carry out structural analysis and prepare calculation reports for steel and concrete structures.
Review, validate, and approve structural drawings in line with project and design requirements.
Check detailed engineering and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Supervise and guide the 3D modeling process for civil and structural designs.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs to support project costing and budgeting.
Provide on-site support during construction and steel structure erection, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Proven experience in structural analysis, design, and construction supervision within industrial projects.
Solid technical expertise in steel and concrete structures.
Proficiency with tools such as CAD, REVIT, SCIA Engineer, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and TEKLA.
Strong coordination and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage cross-disciplinary tasks.
Excellent planning and organizational abilities to meet deadlines.
Prior experience on large-scale industrial projects (oil & gas, chemical, etc.) is highly valued.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
