  • Our Industrial Management team, composed of 90 people, is integrated in the Peroxides and Derivatives Production Management department.
  • As a Process Engineer, you will join our manufacturing team in our Jemeppe-sur-Sambre H2O2 production plant. You will get the opportunity to become a part of the flourishing Peroxides and Soda Ash and Derivatives Global Business Units and have a positive impact on Solvay's ambitious transformation initiative aimed at enhancing capabilities and facilitating further expansion.
  • You will be accountable for:
  • Perform H2O2 process analysis and follow-up
  • Ensure that plant and process performances meet targets
  • Conduct analysis and process optimizations by using digital tools such as Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning
  • Apply best practices and conduct excellence initiatives
  • Ensure continuous improvement and innovation, including the proposal of capital investments
  • Catalyst and organic working solution management
  • Support production team in troubleshooting and meeting customer requirements on final product quality and quantities
  • Follow-up of industrial investment budgets
  • Participate in the implementation and follow-up of the plant HSE policies
  • Become the technical reference for the production team
  • Be an active part of the GBU Peroxides Industrial network
  • Participate in regional or global projects
  • We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
About you
  • Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Academic experience (PhD, post-graduation Research and Development work, or experimental thesis) is a plus
  • Relevant work experience in the chemical industry is a plus.
  • Competencies:
  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory. Any other language is a plus
  • Process analysis

  • Chemical engineering design and process development
  • Experience with JMP15, or another artificial intelligence software is a plus

About the pay and benefits
  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Belgium base pay reasonably expected for this role is 71 000€ to 89 000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
