Siemens Mobility Belgium designs, develops, and operates the EBP system (Electronic Control Desk), a tailor-made traffic and infrastructure management system for Infrabel. These complex, real-time systems are critical for 24/7 rail infrastructure control and management.We are currently looking for a System Architect to support the evolution of the EBP system.Your task:
  • Act as a key liaison between Siemens Mobility and external stakeholders to clarify and document high-level functional requirements
  • Translate business and operational needs into a future-proof system architecture aligned with the EBP roadmap
  • Create system architecture and high-level design documents
  • Support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure architectural consistency across teams and components, focusing on safety, security, maintainability, and serviceability
  • Moderate workshops and technical discussions to gather input and validate architectural decisions
  • Deliver high-quality documentation in line with internal quality processes and project milestones
  • Clarify and document new high-level customer needs to support the roadmap
Your skills:
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Professional fluency in Dutch and/or French is required
  • Experienced in requirement determination and documentation
  • Skilled in moderating workshops and gathering customer needs under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in data modeling and design tools (e.g., UML)
  • Experience in UI application design and software implementation
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, web portals, internet/intranet connections, firewalls, servers, and security
  • Familiar with the entire software development lifecycle
  • Willing to learn and modernize legacy safety systems
  • Knowledge of the signalization business is an asset
