Products are sold into a wide variety of applications including lubricants, lube additives, adhesives, sealants, rubber modification, cosmetics and personal care.INEOS Oligomers Feluy (Belgium) is looking for a :PSM Engineer (m/f)Fixed contract (full time)FunctionThe Process Safety Engineering provides technical guidance and assurance to the Feluy operated assets.The Process Safety Engineering will work closely with the Risk Management Comity to provide assurance that existing operations and field projects are meeting requirements for process safety and risk mitigation.In addition this position requires significant interaction with Operations and Maintenance personnel for the producing assets and the Major Projects organizations.Key roles and accountabilities include:
Maintain specialist expertise that supports the operation units and projects in the understanding, assessment and active management of major accident hazards and risks.
Assist the site in dealing with regulatory bodies and third parties on issues of process safety, integrity management and Safety Case development
Provide guidance to projects and operations on Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements, the application on safe design strategies, fire, explosion and toxic risk detection and protection
Develop appropriate hazard management systems for projects, to prevent, control and mitigate risks
Work in collaboration with specialists and engineers of all disciplines
Review process safety engineering work and deliverables from engineering contractors and suppliers, with emphasis on safety critical areas
Lead or participate in Major Accident Risk assessments, HAZIDs, HAZOPs and Project HSE Rviews
Provide technical support and guidance on operational troubleshooting and integration with other facilities
Maintain working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations relevant to process systems and process safety
Assist with development of Best Engineering Practices
Provide process safety evaluation of new equipment, product and technology
Maintain awareness of technology developments
ProfileGood interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting are essential.The ideal candidate will be both a self-starter and team player with a minimum of 3 years experience in theprocess safety engineering field
MofSc in Chemical Engineering
Broad knowledge of design, selection and application of petrochemical equipment and process hazard analysis
Specialist knowledge of process safety engineering as applied to chemical industry
In-depth understanding of hazard and risk analysis techniques
Excellent organizational, planning, written and oral communication skills
Languages
Written and oral fluency in French and English
Written and oral fluency in Dutch and German is a plus
