- Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
- Strong ability to easily establish contacts and networks with a wide variety of stakeholders (technical experts, consultants, authorities, industry representatives, associations, etc.).
- A customer-oriented mind, with a high level of both assertivenss and diplomacy.
- Capacity to work autonomously and to take own initiatives, while having a clear team spirit.
- Excellent command of French or Dutch, both spoken and written, with at least professional proficiency in the other language.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

- Previous involvement in standards development processes.
As a Project Manager Standards, you will facilitate the standards development processes by:
- Managing the coordination of Belgian standardisation committees, taking on board the national secretariat of some of them;
- Developing the Belgian standardisation committees as well as NBN’s visibility and impact on the Belgian market by attending (or speaking at) external events, by organising NBN events, and by building a network with relevant Belgian market players and authorities;
- Collecting Belgian stakeholders’ interests and viewpoints and making sure they are considered and deliver impact along the international (ISO) and European (CEN) standards development processes;
- Advising and guiding Belgian stakeholders as to their possible involvement in standardisation;
- Contributing to building a wider knowledge community around standardisation, involving the relevant players of the Belgian market.
