Job Description
  • Through analysis of the therapeutic value of our innovative drugs versus their expected impact on the health insurance budget, propose price and reimbursement modalities that will allow fair pricing and favorable reimbursement conditions for the patients who need them;
  • Through long term analysis of the market, build price and reimbursement strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of the company’s drugs versus comparators, throughout their whole lifecycle;
  • Ensure a customer-centric approach towards the members of the price and reimbursement commissions and INAMI;
  • Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues from External Affairs, Outcomes Research, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Medical and Market Research, to ensure alignment on market access strategies, coordinate local actions and ensure the collection and analysis of useful observational or market research data:
  • Lead the local Price and Reimbursement cross-functional Teams;
  • Contribute to an optimal labelling of new products, together with the Regulatory Affairs Manager and the concerned Product Manager/Medical Affairs Manager, in order to guarantee a smooth registration/ pricing/ reimbursement process;
  • Help the Health Evidence and Outcomes Research Manager collect and analyze health outcome data to provide perspective on effectiveness, costs and broader impact of new and existing medicines enabling decisions to be made by payers around resource allocations;
  • Interact with price and reimbursement customers;
  • In close collaboration with Medical, the Patient Engagement Manager and Marketing, seek advice and support from Key Scientific Leaders and, if adequate, patient organizations.
  • Draw up the application file for pricing and submit it, after approval of the Price and Reimbursement Flow Team, to the Minister of Economic Affairs, in order to reach a fair price;
  • Write the application file for reimbursement; submit it to the administration of the Minister of Social Affairs. Further follow up progress of this file, in order to ensure reimbursement conditions that are optimal for the patients;
  • Pricing/ Reimbursement Filing and Negotiation;
  • Collaborate closely with Pharma.be during all steps of the file development and price/ reimbursement process.
On top of this, the Value and Patient Access Manager will:
  • Contribute to secure favorable and sustainable public policies on access to healthcare;
  • Reflect with the team on price and reimbursement strategic analysis of the full portfolio;
  • Collaborate closely with the Public Policy Manager to shape public policies on access. Identify risks and opportunities, define priorities;
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key external stakeholders in the BeLux region
  • Create a strategic dialogue on health price & reimbursement system through Pharma.be or directly with P&R stakeholders, and advocate for a fair sustainable evolution of the access law;
  • Benchmark, share best practices and interact efficiently with colleagues from other countries, the region or headquarters.
  • Follow progess on EU level (eg. EU HTA)
Your profile
  • University degree (ideally MD, pharmacist, master in sciences, pharmaco-economist or related, alternative background in finance/ business can also work);
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a CRO or a healthcare organization (sick fund, INAMI…) is an asset;
  • Experience with price and reimbursement management (pharmaceutical industry, INAMI, sick funds, professional associations…) or experience collaborating strongly with market access (medical, marketing…) with good knowledge of price and reimbursement processes/ rules/ regulations in Belgium / Luxembourg / France / Netherlands;
  • Strong market access network skills and strong insight of the market access environment and key customers;
  • Strong interest in health policies and the healthcare system;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English with excellent written skills in French (language used with Reimbursement Authorities).
