We provide comprehensive support in contracts, negotiations, and processes with customers and suppliers as well as in general litigation and commercial law matters.In a matrix organization, Legal Services is organized on the one hand according to regions and on the other hand according to global cross-sectional topics.Job Purpose:Draft, review and negotiate contracts, provide legal advice, identify and mitigate legal risk and protect DHL's legal and business interests in line with business needs, international aviation industry standards, applicable laws and regulationsYour tasks:
Draft, review and negotiate contracts, identify potential legal issues, advise Business Partners of the issues together with suggested solutions to mitigate legal risks in order to protect DHL's legal and business interests in line with business needs, aviation industry standards, applicable laws and regulations
Understand and analyze complex transactions and support Business Partners in developing business-practical solutions to mitigate risks
Assist Business Partners (with the engagement of external law firms where necessary) in the event of litigation, arbitration, mediation or other dispute resolution mechanisms with courts, government agencies, civil aviation, airport or other relevant authorities
Your profile:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a legal role, ideally within an in-house corporate environment
Strong knowledge of aviation law, contract law, and general commercial law, with expertise in English law or common law systems
Business acumen and a genuine interest in understanding DHL’s business needs to provide practical, business-focused legal advice
Ability to work effectively with multicultural stakeholders given the global nature of DHL’s business and the aviation industry
Proficiency in PowerPoint and basic presentation skills
Strategic, commercial, and pragmatic legal mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with internal business partners
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; a confident team player who can influence and collaborate across functions
Master’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification
