Start Date: ASAPAbout the ProjectA major public institution is looking for a JBOSS Specialist to support the migration of several applications from JBOSS 7.4 to JBOSS 8. The environment includes six small applications and one large, business-critical application (Teseos), which is highly integrated with multiple domains and represents the main migration challenge.You will work directly with the architecture team and a migration lead who is already in place, bringing hands-on expertise to ensure smooth, efficient, and technically sound migrations.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute the migration of applications from JBOSS 7.4 to JBOSS 8.Collaborate with the architecture team and the migration lead on technical strategy and execution.Start with a small application migration before addressing the core application (Teseos).Provide best practices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with Jakarta EE standards.Support modernization of the stack (moving from EJB3 to CDI, Java 17 today, evolving to Java 21 in 2026).Required Skills & ExperienceProven expertise with JBOSS Application Server (7 & 8).Strong background in Jakarta EE / J2EE and Java (17 → 21 roadmap).Hands-on development experience, ideally with IntelliJ.Solid knowledge of EJB3, CDI, and related migration approaches.Experience with large-scale application migrations is a plus.LanguagesEnglish required (fluent).French/Dutch are a big plusRecruitment ProcessCV review.Interview(s) with architecture team (remote or on-site).Quick decision-making process (aiming for one-shot if possible).
