For more information, please visit .Belgium/France | Remote Viral Vector Services & Advanced TherapiesHow will you make an impact?The Business Management, Senior Manager develops and is responsible for the business relationship with commercial and development clients, through understanding the client’s organization and business needs, to improve client service and happiness in the overall best interest of Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies Businesses.What will you do?Client Experience and Relationship Management:
  • Acts as the internal client advocate and leader of the assigned business at the site, balancing and driving both the client’s and site's requirements and priorities.
  • Develops and leads the business relationship with existing key accounts through understanding the client’s organization and business needs in addition to understanding the network perspective related to the client's business to ensure overall approach is client versus site centric.
  • Serves as the leader for all assigned clients’ business activities, representing the client interests, while improving the sites financial position.
  • Supports and addresses all departments to get the encouraged results to the clients. Keeping in mind the Patheon values and objectives, gives input to the appropriate functions (working in tandem with the General Managers) to deliver in time, in full and “Right first time” goods and services.
  • Leads all assigned Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies clients’ business relationship to ensure all issues are handled promptly and that all communications are timely and accurate.
  • Facilitates and supports client direct contact with Subject Mater Expert (SME) as appropriate.
  • Ensure plan execution is done in full respect of agreements and in compliance with Master Supply Agreement (MSA) or other applicable Agreements.
  • Using at least the existing tools for critical issue, report to Patheon top management structure and central corporate functions all the main happening on sites that could impact the Patheon performances and problems to clients with advice and action plans in place.
New Business and Business Expansion Development:
  • Uses relationship with existing key customers to find opportunities.
  • Partners with Sales to identify, assess and implement new business opportunities related to existing key clients.
  • Lead and facilitates effective internal communication of new project requirements, site visits, and promotes Pharma Services network and site capabilities.
  • Completes and lead commercial assessments and negotiates quotations for technical changes and in response to customer requests for additional services outside those assembled in the Master Services Agreement.
  • Ensures that all annual pricing updates are completed and delivered to the clients per the MSA.
Financial and Forecast Management
  • Ensures client’s forecasts are represented accurately in S&OP process and are posted into 3-year planning model.
  • Assists in development of annual commercial & development revenue budget as well as annual planning cycle.
  • Understand changes, risks, and opportunities to demand forecasts by exploring marketplace and capturing business intelligence to build Demand and Business Plans.
  • Verifies congruency vs contractual commitments in forecasts.
  • Works with finance to advance collection of overdue invoices, resolves root issues, and in general understands client’s financial processes.
  • Identifies risks and opportunities to the client commercial forecast and business plan and works with clients to protect from risks and bring together opportunities.
Teamwork with other Patheon Functions
  • Works in tandem with General Managers and other functional leaders to provide Services according to Patheon value, policies and respecting agreements with clients.
  • Drive all business activities for assigned Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies clients’ through leading the Business Management team with Business Development, Finance, Quotations and other internal Patheon functions.
  • Serves as a member of the Global Business Management Leadership team for Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies clients.
  • Works to build links across the Viral Vector Services & Advanced Therapies Businesses, as well as other businesses within the Pharma Services Group and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
How will you get here?Education:
  • University Degree in Science (chemical/biological/biological processing), Finance and/or Business required.
  • Preference having Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
Experience:
  • Typically requires 10 + years’ related experience in bioprocessing/pharmaceutical industry. Ideally multiple areas of experience in GMP functions.
  • Experience in project management, account management, sales, or marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities with exposure to BD activities.
  • Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Travel:
  • 0-25% to support your Customer Portfolio and Team members.
