Your future jobAs a Senior Corporate Accountant at Melexis, you will be part of the local accounting team and perform all accounting and analysis activities for your respective books in accordance with Melexis Global policies and guidelines, internationally approved accounting standards and local legislation.More specifically, you will:
Assure that the finance and accounting activities are performed in accordance with the company's global finance and accounting policies and standards local GAAP and IFRS
Ensure compliance with any tax, VAT, Intrastat and other requirements by the local authorities
Ensure all finance and accounting transactions are timely and correctly executed
Prepare and publish the annual financial statements and reports
Perform monthly reviews and analysis of the site's financial statements according to IFRS and local GAAP
Be the first point of contact wrt. financial audits for the respective books and extensively support tax audits.
Continuously improve the service level and efficiency of the accounting and finance functions and processes in line with the globally defined procedures through establishing and tracking KPI's
Your profile
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related
5+ years of relevant experience in the accounting field
Experience working with cost accounting, preparation of financial statements in an international context
Extensive knowledge of the local legislation in the accounting, financial and taxation area
Knowledge on international accounting standards and practices
Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
Previous experience in working with an ERP system
Able to meet a constant stream of deadlines
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
Positive, flexible and pragmatic attitude
Fluent in English
