We currently have a vacancy for an Expert Product Owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks:
Works within the agile process and is the final authority for decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or return of investment;
Reviews deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities and organizes live demonstration of the product at the end of the sprint;
Facilitates the acceptance of the product by the business;
Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain;
Interacts and validates requirements with the business;
Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint;
Possesses an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project.
Requirements
Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
Expertise in Agile and Scrum roles, artifacts and ceremonies;
Familiarity with Java enterprise concepts (application servers, APIs, microservices);
Familiarity with ServiceNow fundamentals (workflows, scripting, integrations, and ITSM/ITOM modules);
Understanding of CI/CD & DevOps practices (Git, Jenkins, deployments) ;
Integration knowledge: how Java backends might integrate with ServiceNow workflows or APIs;
Metrics & reporting: ssing burndown charts, velocity, and cumulative flow diagrams to track progress
Experience with quality practices (unit tests, code reviews, and automated regression testing);
Certification in Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is mandatory;
The following certifications are considered an asset: ITIL, Prince2, PMP, SAFe;
Excellent command of the English language.
