Now that’s making a difference.To help us grow and achieve our ambitions, our team in Brussels is looking for an Intern or Associate within our Forensic Technology team, to work alongside leading professionals in fields such as Digital Forensics, eDiscovery, Incident Response, Legal Technology and Data Analytics.Our Forensic Technology Solutions team helps clients manage vast amounts of electronic data and navigate the legal and business processes that are mandated by critical events. We develop and utilize cutting-edge technology to help our clients in times of crisis or to understand past challenges and proactively prevent future ones. When a crisis, disputes or regulatory investigations arise, a timely resolution relies on organizations being prepared.A career within our Forensic Services team will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of business threats, risks and complex issues. As part of the team, you’ll support our clients who wish to investigate potential financial crime, to respond to regulatory enquiries, support our core forensic experts in executing investigations, provide dispute analysis, litigation support, etc. You’ll also help clients with collection, processing and review of data to identify key information.Your impactAs an intern, you’ll make an impact by:Receiving training in a wide range of technical and non-technical skills.Gaining exposure to a wide variety of forensic and analytical techniques.With your skills in Computer Forensics and eDiscovery you will be supporting and executing fraud investigations, Incident Response projects, litigations and other engagements with a forensic nature, respecting project plans with detailed timelines and budgets under the instructions of managers and above.Forensically obtaining data from computers, servers and mobile devices, ensuring the evidential integrity of the data as well as preparing the data for efficient document review on Nuix, Relativity and/or Reveal.Overseeing document review projects, including the application of AI and Active Learning concepts;Carrying out review platform maintenance, reporting and related document and electronic evidence collection administration, as directed or assigned.Manipulating data load files between litigation review platforms to assure quality and cost efficiency of document review projects and document management.Providing consultation to clients and other offices concerning ESI for collections, processing, review and productionTraining and advising legal teams on the application and efficient use of technology. Use expertise and hands on experience with eDiscovery tools to provide technical solutions for managing data.Drafting reports and presentations to explain the findingsConsulting with clients on business issues, often explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical people.Contributing in having an organized workspace and forensic lab.Facilitating meetings with our clients and stakeholders in an organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.Assisting with the preparation and presentation of proposals that describe our approach, deliverables and fees to projects.Attending and participating in project team meetings to discuss and brainstorm on additional areas to investigate and additional forensic services (i.e. computer forensics) that would be beneficial to the client.Harnessing artificial intelligence, expert systems, robotics and machine learning to assist our clients, you will have the opportunity to get involved in some innovative projects where we utilize these technologies to solve real life issues.Researching new products, tools and techniques to assist with streamlining internal processes and methods of presenting results to clientsAbout youYou have obtained or are in the process of obtaining a degree in a technology-related program, IT, civil or business engineering and have been exposed to Digital Forensic and/or eDiscovery related assignments.Specialization in technology, eDiscovery, digital forensics, legal technology and/or data analytics.Good understanding of key concepts of electronic discovery and the EDRM modelKnowledgeable about one or more of the following tools:Digital forensic and eDiscovery tools such as EnCase, FTK, Axiom, Nuix (Workstation/Discover), Brainspace, Relativity, Reveal or equivalentsETL-tools such as Alteryx or equivalentPredictive and scripting tools such as VBA, R, Python, SQL or other equivalentVisualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalentCertified Digital Forensics Analyst, Relativity Expert or other equivalent certifications is a plusTeam player with a sense of innovation, initiative and a critical, analytical mind with a good dose of business sense.Strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple concurrent investigations and projects under supervision.Communicative, eager to learn and you are looking to develop and grow.Fluency in English; ideally also in Dutch and/or French.
