
Automation Engineer

- Design and develop innovative software solutions (PLC, HMI, SCADA) to optimize applicator performance.
- Maintain and update systems and programs, including version control.
- Monitor application software performance and implement improvements.
- Assist in manufacturing and functional testing of applicators prior to shipment.
- Contribute to the creation of P&IDs, electrical drawings, user manuals, test protocols, and installation guides.
- Support internal training and development of KAS team members.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and provide assistance to colleagues as needed.
- Integrate application technology into customer processing systems.
- Train customers on installed applicators and provide ongoing technical support.
- Troubleshoot and repair application systems on-site or remotely via phone, email, or remote access tools.
- Maintain customer records and interactions using CMMS software.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.
- Monitor and report competitor activities in the market.
- Research and implement technical, economic, and software enhancements based on customer feedback.
- Monitor system performance and apply upgrades for improved functionality.
- Participate in the development of new dosing systems and special-purpose applications.
- Recommend and evaluate instrumentation specifications for projects.
- Ensure high product quality through the design of test procedures and risk assessments.
- Conduct and document quality control checks on goods and materials.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- A strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in automation technologies.
- Hands-on expertise in PLC hardware and programming, field bus systems, and industrial software development.
- A solid knowledge of electrical schematics and system architecture.
- Experience with SCADA systems and real-time applications.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to system testing and optimization.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage complexity and work both independently and collaboratively.
- A mindset that embraces innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in TIA-Portal & WinCC Professional, JavaScript, HTML, VBS, C, SQL Server, and industrial communication protocols.
- Prior experience in plant automation, feed mill process technology, or liquid dosing systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
