Design, model and layout photonic components and circuits
Setup design of experiments and analyse test data
Translate customer requirements into system concepts and PIC architectures
Improve existing photonic platforms, document and update procedures and design libraries
Required knowledge and skills
PhD or equivalent in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of experience in silicon photonic design
An in-depth knowledge of integrated photonics
Extensive expertise in design, optimization and layout of Si photonic components and circuits
Hands-on experience with photonic modelling software (e.g. Lumerical)
Hands-on experience with layout tools (e.g. Luceda Ipkiss, Cadence, L-edit). Experience with Ipkiss is a plus
