We strive for a positive, people-centred and socially responsible climate transition in Europe and around the world.PositionWe're looking for a strategic and creative communicator to join our CEO Office as a Corporate Communications Senior Associate. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to help shape how the ECF communicates its impact and engages its employees during a period of organisational change.About the roleThe Corporate Communications Senior Associate plays a key role in strengthening and protecting the ECF's brand and reputation, while also building and professionalising our internal communications during a period of organisational change. This role ensures that the ECF's mission, impact, and values are clearly and consistently communicated across key channels and audiences - both internal and external.The Senior Associate sits within the CEO Office, reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, and works closely with members of the leadership team and other teams across the organisation - including Programmes, Strategic Partnerships, Operations, Finance, and others. They play a leading role in shaping both internal and external communications that align with and support the ECF's strategic priorities. The role also contributes to executive communications, articulating leadership messaging and ensuring consistency and clarity across key channels.This is an exciting opportunity to shape how the ECF tells its story to its key stakeholders - amplifying our mission on climate action. The role offers room for professional growth in strategic and internal communications, digital storytelling, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic, mission-driven, and international environment. It affords a high degree of ownership and autonomy in shaping and delivering key external and internal communications initiatives, with support and strategic direction from the Corporate Communications Manager.Key responsibilitiesThe Senior Associate will work across a variety of topics that may evolve throughout the year in line with changing needs, in close collaboration with the Corporate Communications Manager and other colleagues. These include:External communicationsLead the Impact Narratives Taskforce on behalf of the Corporate Communications team, collaborating with internal teams to gather, create, and share compelling stories of impact, case studies, and learnings.Manage content planning and development for ECF's core channels: website, LinkedIn, newsletters, intranet, and more. Ensure the production of regular, timely, and engaging content that helps build our brand and reflects our key priorities.Draft and edit a wide range of content, including messaging, talking points, news updates, impact stories, social media posts, and visual content.Oversee the production and delivery of the external newsletter (approximately four editions per year).Maintain and update the ECF social media channels and website (with support from our external provider), ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.Manage the corporate photo library, including event and grantee imagery.Track and report on channel analytics (e.g., engagement, traffic), using insights to refine content strategy.Support the Annual Report production process as needed, including content development and coordination with internal contributors.Internal communicationsHelp oversee and coordinate internal communications on key strategic topics during a period of organisational change, working closely with the Corporate Communications Manager, Management Team, HR, Finance, internal Transformation Office, and other teams.Ensure a holistic, well-integrated, and timely approach to internal communications across departments and leadership levels - so that employees stay informed, aligned, and engaged around key developments. Support the development of a fit-for-purpose internal communications function and culture that meets the needs of a medium-sized organisation.Play a driving role in developing and delivering internal campaigns and initiatives - including change communications, all-staff events, and leadership updates. This involves managing timing, crafting talking points and other content, and coordinating execution.Support change management by translating complex developments into clear, accessible communications that strengthen engagement.Co-lead the planning, drafting, and distribution of the internal newsletter, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned with organisational priorities.Maintain and update content on the Intranet (SharePoint), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance.Corporate events communicationsIn collaboration with the Events Associate and other colleagues, lead communications for ECF's flagship events (Partners Retreat and All-Staff Retreat):Coordinate pre-event communications (e.g., save-the-dates, registration, logistics, reminders).Manage on-site communications (e.g., app updates, agenda changes).Lead post-event follow-up (e.g., surveys, sharing photos, recordings, slides, and reports).Ensure consistent branding across all event materials and assets.Media and brandSupport the Corporate Communications Manager in building the ECF's media presence and thought leadership.Contribute to media monitoring and brand protection efforts - for example, by crafting messaging, talking points, and readiness or response plans for potential crisis communication scenarios.Handle media inquiries and facilitate press engagement as needed.RequirementsCandidate profileKey competenciesExcellent communication skills: Native level written and verbal English, with the ability to create clear, engaging content on complex topics. Additional European languages are a plus.Strategic thinking: Ability to align communications with organisational goals and audience needs.Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Initiative and ownership: Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and drive projects forward independently.Creativity and courage: Willingness to challenge the status quo constructively and develop innovative communication approaches.Attention to detail: High standards for accuracy and quality in all deliverables.Organisational skills: Strong time and project management, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.SkillsInternal communication: Experience supporting internal communications and/or change management initiatives would be highly appreciated.Content creation: Skilled in writing, developing, and editing for various formats and audiences, including social media, websites, newsletters, and reports.Digital tools: Familiarity with CMS platforms, social media management tools, and email marketing software.
