Activity of Air Liquide crosses several business segments - Large Industries, Industrial Merchant, Electronics and Hydrogen to Energy - around 3 countries - Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. From a legal perspective the structure is heavy and complex with more than 20 entities concerned - this obviously leads to a specific complexity of internal processes setup where accuracy and vigilance are predominant and have to be as sharp as a swiss knife. Europe Procurement (EP) is the centrally managed and de-centrally located purchasing team working for European entities of Air Liquide, consisting of ~200 people, of which 20 are based in the Benelux. EP supports Operations and Transversal Functions in all aspects of purchasing equipment and services, both in day-to-day business and in long term projects. We are an international team, English is the company language, and all profiles are welcomed!You will be part of a key process, interacting closely with following teams:
Europe Procurement (EP) team in general,
EP members based in Benelux (ALBI), in particular,
ALBI Operations teams.In this VIE mission, your contribution, supported by the Europe Procurement Direct Category Manager, will be:Coordinate/manage RFP(Request for Proposal) /RFQ (Request for quotation) for specific projects (e.g. Water Treatment, EU telemonitoring of cathodic protection of pipelines, etc.),Analyze new procurement categories in order to identify synergies at European level,Check and finetune the inventory of analysers for obsolescence management and purchases forecasts,Design and negotiate a new Service Level Agreement (SLA) for analysers’ maintenance on ALBI perimeter and explore possible extension to other AL entities in Europe,Coordinate regular information sharings with the local Procurement team (in terms of concerns, topics of the moment, contact with suppliers, local RFQ support ...),Contribute to the building of a CO2 footprint database by collecting data from the major suppliers, deploy a specific new procurement approach with CO2 reduction mindset,Contribute to the launch of calls for tender, analyze and negotiate with the suppliers’ panel,Implement and monitor action plans with European subsidiaries,Develop tools, indicators, Zycus iAnalyse and/or Excel summary reports,Animate the E-Motor Proc.-Ind. network for spent collection forecasts (e.g. motors),Perform markets analysis related to some specific categories,Contribute to standardization projects,Help making the shift from indirect purchasing through preferred OEM's (Original Equipment manufacturer) distributors to 100% direct purchase from the OEMsAre you a MATCH?Candidate Profile:Self-starter and self-motivated in recognizing business needs, solving problems thanks to strong analytical skills, anticipating issues and finding solutionsResults oriented, reporting to different levels of the organizationStrong stakeholder management with Internal customersContinuous Improvement mindsetEffective Communication skills, to be able to understand others needs by positioning yourself in their shoesStrong with Google Sheets (and/or excel) and analytical skillsResponsive and responsible team player, open-minded and love to work with diverse teamsStructured way of working, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.Education:Procurement degreeExperience:1-2 years of experienceLanguages:English fluency is mandatoryFrench is an assetWhy Join Us?During the mission, you will gain a unique set of competencies apt to protect the treasury of a company, but also its reputation with suppliers and ensure the operational efficiency.You will have a unique view as you achieve operational activities as a Junior Buyer, but also analyze new Procurement categories for long term performance!In doing so, you are exposed to many opportunities for personal development, and get chances to grow your career in various departments of the company.Thanks to your partial role of Junior Buyer, deeply embedded in the Procurement team, you will help the organization in its compliance to the Procure-to-Pay process by being a proactive problem-solver on this specific fieldPlease send your CV and Cover Letter in English!Position based in Belgium, Brussels for an initial 12 months period, extendablePosition open only for candidates eligible to the VIE program.
