We foster a collaborative, hands-on environment where initiative and innovation are encouraged.About the RoleWe are looking for a talented electronic design engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to the design, simulation, and characterization of superconducting electronic devices, with an emphasis on layout, simulation, and design of experiments.What You'll Do
- Design superconducting circuit layouts and schematics using Cadence Virtuoso.
- Automate the creation of schematics and layouts using SKILL code.
- Work with PCells, hierarchical layouts, and perform verification (DRC/LVS).
- Simulate analog circuits using Cadence Spectre and other simulation tools.
- Model superconducting structures using Ansys HFSS or Cadence Clarity.
- Perform design reviews and create technical documentation and reports.
- Contribute to publications in international journals and conferences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of electronics and circuit design fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
- Familiarity with analog simulation tools, for instance Spectre or PSPICE.
- Familiarity with microwave modelling tools, for instance Ansys HFSS.
- Scripting experience, for instance in Python or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with material science and/or solid-state physics.
- Self-driven, hands-on, and pragmatic with a can-do attitude.
- Layout design using SKILL in Cadence Virtuoso.
- Experience working in R&D environments.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
