- Identify relevant challenges and opportunities for the Lilly portfolio in the healthcare environment in close collaboration with the brand teams. Initial key focus will be the health policy in the context of Alzheimer’s.
- Development of concrete health policy objectives for the respective relevant therapeutic domains in Belgium (national and regional) and Luxembourg
- Development of strategies and policy measures to ensure the supply of the relevant Lilly therapeutic domains in Belgium and Luxembourg
- Active promotion of projects and measures with a clear focus on achieving goals
- Stakeholder mapping to establish and define a robust healthcare network with respect to relevant health policy and care-related topics
- Active positioning of Lilly in the political environment, in the interest groups as well as within the organization
- Cross-functional cooperation with market access, medical, marketing in relation to health policy initiatives and projects, contribution of health policy expertise to internal decision-making processes and strategic orientation
- Maintaining the network in the fields of health policy, business, research, representation, and associations and working groups
- Organizing, preparing, and conducting one-on-one political meetings and roundtable discussions
- Connection and/or involvement with policy and communication initiatives from the pharma association Pharma.be
- Definition, proposal, and operational implementation of the external communication strategy
- Design and writing of external communication materials (press kits and communications, social media campaigns, language elements, etc.)
- Organization and coordination of demonstrations and press events
- Elaboration and proposal of the internal communication plan for the brands and therapeutic areas of its portfolio, in conjunction with the person in charge of internal communication
- Liaison and follow up of corporate communication initiatives
- Implementation of a communication and partnership plan with the associations of patients involved in the therapeutic areas for which you are responsible.
- Master’s degree, with preference of political science, public health or similar field
- Professional experience and expertise in (health) policy, ideally knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Good understanding and experience with political decision-making processes, ideally within the healthcare system and reimbursement system in Belgium and Luxembourg
- Existing, resilient networks with politicians, associations, and other important decision-makers as well as experience in building networks
- Understanding and experience in dealing with relevant stakeholder interests
- Experience in the development of successful strategies and in the implementation of corresponding policy initiatives
- Expertise in project management, cooperation with external service providers and dealing with high-ranking experts
- Outstanding communication skills to convey complex technical content in a simple and accurate way
- Being able to express yourself perfectly in Dutch, French and English
- Perfect written and oral communication is a must
- Empathic and diplomatic
- IT knowledgeable (Word, Excel, DB, …) and interest
