OverviewKEMIN AquaScience – EMENA is seeking a Senior Research Associate.We have an exciting opportunity for a (Senior) Research Associate to join the Kemin AquaScience team! This 2-year assignment offers a unique chance to contribute to innovative research in aquaculture nutrition, with a strong focus on fermentation processes and biochemical testing.This role includes a collaborative research component with Ghent University, where part of the laboratory work and testing will be conducted.   • Design, execute, and analyze fermentation experiments to develop microbial-based ingredients for aquaculture.
  • Conduct biochemical and microbiological tests, both in-house and in collaboration with Ghent University.
  • Coordinate with academic partners to ensure alignment on experimental protocols and data sharing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including formulation, analytical services, and commercial units.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to internal reports, publications, or patent applications.
QualificationsWhat we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in fermentation processes, preferably in a research or industrial setting.
  • Experience with aquaculture nutrition or aquatic species health is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry, and microbial culturing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across academic and industrial environments.
  • Fluent English.
