Lead & Support the Accounting Team
You'll guide your team through day-to-day accounting activities, making sure everything runs like clockwork.- Ensure consistency in accounting (purchases, sales, suspense accounts, adjustments)
- Follow up on customer/supplier accounts and help resolve disputes
- Check balance sheet accounts and keep open items under control
- Keep our chart of accounts in line with company needs
- Organize and balance the team's workloadOwn the Monthly Closings
- Book monthly payroll entries with input from HR
- Prepare and review provisions (bonuses, holiday pay, bad debts, etc.)
- Deliver clean and clear monthly accounting overviewsSupport Reporting & Budget Monitoring
- Update investment tracking reports
- Keep an eye on cost control across services and operationsStay Tax Smart
- Review and submit VAT and annual tax returns
- Keep the CFO up to date on any new tax laws or fiscal changesHelp Finalize the Year-End Accounts
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and closing docs
- Assist with audits and discussions with external auditors
- Support the preparation of reports for general meetings, tax provisions, and moreProfiel What we're looking for:- Strong sense of ownership and autonomy- Experience in Belgian accounting and tax legislation, knoweledge of US GAAP is a strong plus- A collaborative mindset-you work well with auditors, the CFO, and operational teams- Leadership experience or natural mentoring skills- Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable- A positive attitude and drive to keep things moving- Strong communicator, you are willing to work in a Dutch, French and English environmentAanbod Benefits:- Competitive salary package.
