Join Ramboll's management consulting division in Belgium as our new Senior/Managing Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs our new Senior/Managing Consultant in EU Environmental Policy and Regulation, you will join a growing and dynamic team working on climate, energy and environmental issues. You will contribute to strategic and impactful projects that focus on the environmental, social, economic and technological drivers shaping Europe's competitiveness and resilience.You will be part of Ramboll Management Consulting Belgium. Our multidisciplinary and multilingual department is based in Brussels and works closely with the EU institutions and stakeholders to support a transition that is green, just and sustainable. We work on projects that combine strategy and policy advice with deep technical expertise. You will work continuously with our colleagues across Ramboll and have access to a global pool of technical expertise in Ramboll Group throughout Europe and worldwide.Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Leading and delivering on projects and consulting assignments mainly for the European institutions-but also for companies, investors, and other players in the economy-on EU environmental policy, regulation and funding
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities, including by coordinating and drafting proposals
  • Planning and executing data collection and evidence gathering activities, stakeholder consultations, qualitative and quantitative analyses, to inform and facilitate decision
  • Designing and implementing stakeholder engagement programmes
  • Leading and contributing to robust analysis and compelling report writing
  • Participating in meetings with clients and partners, to pitch on our methodological choices or present and discuss our study findings

  • Master's degree in economics, geography, technical and environmental sciences, sustainability studies, or related disciplines.
  • Experience (+5 years) in consulting, research, policy work or similar, preferably with some experience serving public sector clients; experience EU level would be a plus.
  • Experience in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and drafting coherent and compelling analytical texts and presentations, with strong attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in working for public sector clients and collaborating with economic actors to advance policy objectives and deliver impact.
  • Knowledge of at least one following topics: circular economy, clean industrial policy, biodiversity, zero pollution, water resilience and green finance.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral; fluency in French or Dutch would be a plus.
  • The right to live and work in the EU.
