THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you curious to know what Finance in a multinational pharmaceutical company looks like? Are you ready to bring your own value to the Budgeting and Financial Reporting processes? If you are ready to embrace the challenge in a dynamic environment, we are looking for a talented and motivated student to join our local Controlling team in Brussels, Belgium.

In this internship you will gather hands-on experience in the use of IT tools in the management accounting and controlling field. You will also live a true international experience, interacting with colleagues from the local business and with the regional center in Amsterdam (ROPU MIDI).

The internship will run for ideally six months, starting preferably in January 2021.

What you will learn:

Set clear learning goals to get the most out of your internship

Develop reports to provide transparency on financial data to business partners

Support Controlling in the monthly & yearly closing activities

Prepare analysis of product and business profitability, cost and price/volume development

Develop tools and files to support the budgeting and forecasting process

Support on ad-hoc improvement projects

What you should bring to the team:

Master’s degree student in the field of Business Administration, preferably in Finance

In possession of a valid EU residency permit

Excellent command of the English language

Existing experience in a professional business environment (e.g. previous internships, working student) is a plus

Enthusiasm, curiosity and proactive attitude

Interest in digital tools and MS Excel

Accountable: you actively give and seek feedback to deliver results

Agile: you learn with an open mind, and rarely make the same mistake twice
