Will you help shape the future of intralogistics?Job DescriptionThe R&D Network and Security Engineer is responsible for designing secure and efficient network infrastructures. This includes conceptualizing, engineering, and testing new solutions to meet business needs while ensuring optimal security.
- Collaborate on R&D activities related to network architecture and cybersecurity solutions.
- Develop and maintain secure configurations for firewalls, routers, switches, and other network components.
- Conduct risk assessments and design mitigation strategies, including functional safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration across platforms.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, BOMs, and security protocols.
- Develop test plans and collaborate with the validation team to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Support production teams in deploying and maintaining network solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and new technologies in network and security engineering.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in network engineering, Cybersecurity, Automation or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in network engineering and security, preferably in industries such as automation, manufacturing, logistics, or aerospace.
- Working experience with Unix-based systems
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, IEC6443) and risk analysis.
- Experience with security and monitoring solutions such as SIEM, endpoint protection, or Zero Trust architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen interest in systems integration.
- Fluent in English (C1 or higher); Dutch language skills are a strong plus.
