The Currency Management COE is part of the MedTech Principal Operations (MTPO) group which rolls up in the MedTech Center Finance organization.All currency systems and processes are going through a big transition under “Project SigniFX” which is part of the broader SigniFi program. Project SigniFX is a global project impacting MedTech, Innovative Medicine, Global Services, Treasury and Corporate. Project SigniFX has the goal to activate a global holistic system between S/4 Finance, Anaplan, Data Hub and SAP Cloud Analytics (SCA) to create an interconnected FX risk management process for actuals, planning and reporting. It will be an enabler for more simplified analytics and improved forecast accuracy in J&Js financials.Role overview:We are seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to manage the MedTech transition to the new system landscape and processes implemented under Project SigniFX, and ensuring these new tools and processes meet MedTech needs.It is essential that the successful candidate has clearly demonstrated an ability to develop professional working relationships and is able to deliver results in a complex and global environment.In this role you will report to the Senior Finance Manager that leads the SigniFX Project within MTPO, and will have a dotted line to the Senior Finance Manager Currency Management COE.The key responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
  • Learn about and get involved in daily operations of the Currency Management COE to ensure newly developed tools and processes meet HMTs needs.
  • Provide key inputs that drive decisions in the SigniFX project, meeting HMT requirements and shaping the future of currency management in J&J.
  • Implement and test the various newly developed tools, reports and processes.
  • Ensure data readiness and mapping of current state to future state master data.
  • Lead the transition of the MedTech entities to the new system landscape and processes, including change management.
  • Work together with the SigniFX Reporting Workstream to define new reports that can help with analytics of transactional currency impacts and forecast accuracy.
  • Execute on compliance: document desktop procedures and compliance documentation

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Have at least 5 years of relevant post graduate work experience.
  • Enjoy working on projects.
  • Be a team player.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Critical thinking, comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Must be a self-starter, have attention to detail, possess strong prioritization and organization skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to collaborate in a virtual and matrix environment across multiple sectors and regions.
  • Must have highly effective verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and effectively.
  • A good knowledge of English both verbal as written is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft excel is essential.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP FI/CO) and other financial systems.
  • A compliance mindset with a functioning knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance framework and controls.
Desirable:
  • Professional accounting qualification ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Previous experience working in finance, banking or corporate treasury is desirable.
  • A solid grasp of hedging principles, hedge accounting and inventory accounting is preferred but not a requirement.
