About the roleLocation: Puurs #HybridWe are seeking an Automation Engineer who will be in charge of supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems in projects and site operations, to join our team at the Puurs site.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support development and implementation of Coding / Recipes (DCS / Scada / PLCs / Control Networks)
  • Support design, implementation & maintenance of Historian Configuration for modules / visualization / OPEX
  • Implement Software Change Controls related to automation / system changes ; Investigate abnormalities (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Handle operations for Operational Technology (OT) systems, tools and applications, ensuring their stability and integrity while meeting customer service levels.
  • Support the business owner of OT systems on all common technical issues and manage all IT / OT services, systems and applications to monitor events occurring in the business environment.
  • Ensure that an up-to-date asset inventory is maintained for all technology assets.
  • Create, maintain and verify engineering documents (protocols, drawings, lists, schematics, diagrams, layouts, calculations, data sheets)
  • Prepare equipment specifications, system requirements in the project
  • Prepare, review and approve drawings, lists, schedules, diagrams, layouts, calculations and data sheets in project
  • Perform new equipment FAT / SAT / inspections in project
Role RequirementsEssential requirements:
  • Diploma in Engineering (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc.) or equivalent
  • 5 years of technical experience in automation in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven in solving software / automation problems and maintaining reliable operation of all building control / automation and related systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GxP / HSE & Quality systems
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Dutch
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience on iFix HMI's is a plus
  • Good communication skills
