As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and repair of our medical equipment at customer sites. You will be responsible for providing technical support, solving issues, and conducting preventive maintenance activities to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and product reliability.What will you be doing?
  • Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission medical devices according to manufacturer guidelines and specifications. Ensure proper setup and configuration for optimal performance
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on medical devices to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime. Diagnose and fix technical issues promptly and efficiently
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional technical support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Support End-Users (Benelux) and international distributors via phone and email on all technical questions and complaints (1st and 2nd Level support)
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and educational workshops for customers on equipment manipulation, maintenance standard processes, and safety protocols. Empower customers to effectively use and maintain the equipment. Assist Sales and Marketing staff with any instrument pre-qualifications or technical matter
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, work orders, and equipment logs. Record maintenance, complaints and service visits in the form of a field report and/or through ServiceMax. Provide regular updates and reports to management on service activities, customer feedback, and equipment performance
What will you need to be successful?
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience in servicing medical devices or healthcare equipment
  • Strong technical capability and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to apply data for effective decision making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in using SAP, Salesforce/ServiceMax and/or other ERP/CRM platforms is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed
  • Languages: Proficiency in Dutch, French and English languages
Working Conditions:
  • Mobility required for field visits, especially to engage with healthcare professionals (driving license needed)
