As a SaaS Engineer Trainee, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our services while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be instrumental in maintaining our SynaptiQ platform and providing first-level support to our clients, as well as assisting with onboarding and with development of new features.Your key responsibilities will be:1. Client Support and Engagement:
  • Handle first-level support tickets from clients, providing efficient solutions to technical issues and escalating more complex problems to the Senior SaaS Engineer team when necessary.
  • Assist the service delivery team with the deployment of assets into the SynaptiQ platform.
  • Understand clients' needs and translate these into appropriate technical solutions.
  • Assist with the helpdesk and ticketing system, performing offsite analysis, and providing guidance in the installation of equipment.
2. Platform Development:
  • Provide input/ideas for the development and maintenance of the SynaptiQ platform.
  • Implement the appropriate configuration of newly developed features under the supervision of Senior SaaS Engineers.
  • Adhere to quality standards to ensure the software meets both technical and customer needs.
3. Testing and Debugging:
  • Carry out testing of new features and updates, identifying bugs and ensuring the platform's stable operation.
  • Provide detailed reports on bugs and assist in their resolution.
4. Process Improvement:Propose creative solutions to improve or automate internal tools and processes and implement solutions.5. Continuous Learning:
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in SaaS technologies and platforms.
  • Continually improve your knowledge and skills to contribute more effectively to the team.

Upon completion of your traineeship, there is the potential for you to secure a long-term employment contract with us.RequirementsTo successfully fill this role, we are looking for someone fitting the following profile:
  • You are enrolled in an Engineering degree (in renewable energy, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field) or you have recently completed one.
  • You have full proficiency in English.
  • You have strong analytical skills to analyse data flows (i.e. through FTP, API or SQL Data collectors, UI dashboards etc).
  • You have excellent communication skills, proactive attitude and customer-oriented mindset.
  • You have a curious mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and tooling.
  • You are interested in SaaS products and ready to deep dive into it.
Bonus points for:
  • You have knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
  • You are familiar with object-based programming languages (JavaScript, Python, VBA).
  • You have knowledge of databases and operating systems.
  • You are experienced with MySQL or other relational database management system.
  • Reporting skills (e.g., FlexiReport, PowerBI).
