- Ensure the implementation and adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring compliance in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide comprehensive training and coaching to teams to ensure understanding and adherence to controls and procedures.
- Serve as the primary contact for SOX and internal audits. Prepare monthly closing SOX controls documentation/evidence to ensure effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the Group SOX team to enhance the control environment and promote awareness.
- Manage the activities outlined in the annual financial calendar, including key events such as budget preparations, presentations, quarterly forecasts, mid-month reviews, flash reporting, tax submissions, and profitability analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of actuals in accordance with WPP reporting requirements.
- Lead the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, supporting the CFO. Oversee input into the reporting system and ensure timely submissions.
- Generate key financial dashboards encompassing topline figures, operating expenses, key balance sheet ratios, working capital, client profitability, and billability. Provide explanations for variances.
- Support the CFO and management with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
- Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
- Certification is advantageous.
- 3+ years of robust experience in group financial reporting and analysis, compliance, and SOX reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel and other MS Office applications. Familiarity with Cartesis/SAP is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Dutch; proficiency in French is a bonus. Ability to convey complex or sensitive information clearly.
