Job Description :Our client designs and manufactures semiconductor products and solutions which enables our customers to interpret the world around us by intelligently bridging the physical and digital worlds with unmatched technologies that sense, measure, connect, and analyse.We are looking for a talented embedded software developer to join the software team, in Leuven, Belgium, which is a part of Consumer Audio Solutions (CAS) group. CAS group leads innovation and solution enablement in consumer audio, with its portfolio of audio intelligent converters, premium sound amplifiers, algorithms and SW tools. As a part of our SW team, you will be integrating our next generation of audio products into TWS devices.Key Responsibilities:
Designing/developing/integrating/debugging firmware enabling consumer audio solutions on popular platforms not limited to Qualcomm QCC series, ARM, Tensilica HiFi, and native client's native platforms like ADAU1860/ADAU1867.
Develop automated testing systems for testing and debugging of emulation and production hardware as it pertains to the firmware architecture that you have developed.
Occasional hardware debugging is expected.
Work regularly and effectively with multi-geographically located teams to ensure production-ready deliverables.
Create and maintain software related application notes, user guides, design documents, software implementation guides on firmware and GUI projects you develop and support.
Familiarize and meet Analog Devices customer facing software delivery requirements.
Advise on HW/SW architectural choices.
Develop prototypes quickly to demonstrate and evolve internal technology proposals.
Provide software related support to sales team, key customers, and field engineers. Required qualifications :Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science or a related field and you can demonstrate a consistent track record in the following areas:
3/5+ years of experience in architecting, building, firmware development, integrating software on ARM-based platforms or DSP
Excellent programming skills in C/C++/Python/ARM/x86 assembly.
Be very comfortable with any flavor of Linux
Familiarity with git, GitLab, Jenkins, confluence, Jira
Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Being able to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions across a distributed team is a core requirement.
Proficient with standard software engineering practices such as agile development methodologies, unit testing, code reviews, documentation.
Agile, pragmatic, hardworking and a can do mentality.
Fluent in English both writing and speaking. English is the day to day language in the company.
Team player but as well autonomous and self-organized.
Strong interest in audio processing algorithms
Based in Belgium, or willing to relocate.Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of Python
Experience working as part of a scrum team
