About ENTSO-EENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. If yes, ENTSO-E is the right place for you.As an SD Application Specialist at ENTSO-E, you will serve as the link between business needs and IT solutions for key System Development applications. You will lead requirement gathering, testing coordination, system performance monitoring, and vendor collaboration to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement of our digital tools.In this role, you will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels in the Information and Communication Technologies section, reporting directly to Power Systems ICT Applications Manager.You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work to support a good work-life balance.Occasional travels may be required.Your responsibilities
  • Gather and analyse business requirements from internal teams, TSOs and RCCs for existing and new tools
  • Define and document functional and non-functional specifications, including business impact and technical dependencies
  • Ensure interoperability of systems by mapping integration points and aligning with enterprise architecture
  • Oversee security, performance, and operability standards in collaboration with the SSDLC team
  • Coordinate the release and change management process, including planning, version control, and stakeholder communication
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and ensure defect resolution
  • Monitor system KPIs (uptime, response time, etc.) and plan for capacity improvements
  • Identify IT risks and maintain mitigation plans in the risk register
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, IT, and external vendors
  • Prepare technical content for RFPs and manage vendor SLAs and performance deliverables
Your profileWe are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT coordination, system analysis or application management
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, managing releases, and overseeing vendor deliverables
  • Analytical thinking to manage complexity and solve problems
  • Collaborative approach and ability to foster strong partnerships
  • Strong planning and alignment with organisational priorities
  • Clear and tailored communication for diverse audiences
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
