Furthermore, you will have project management responsibility. You will actively align with the Expertise Centers and the Sector Portfolio & Technology Managers to translate and enable the technology strategies roadmap. You will help to capture the trends and future industry needs, that will be used to upgrade our portfolio offering.
- You will work on identifying bottlenecks and find generic solutions to improve and upgrade our imec silicon technologies in view of next generations roadmap. You will focus on integration method selection, technology qualification and supply chain enablement.
- You will contribute to the operational plans by formulating resource and investment needs together with the technical experts, starting from the understanding of future demands and products.
- Your mission will be to understand the technology vision and needs, translate to achievable plan and drive the execution with the Expertise Centers from the perspective of target timings, deliverables and costs. The synergies and alignment between the different platforms will be key to the success of imec silicon solutions.
- You keep your level of scientific know-how up to date and benchmarks imec's expertise and performance in your competence domain with the rest of the world.
- You will be part of the IC-Link sector PMO, focusing on projects leveraging imec developed technologies. You will interact daily with external foundries, design engineers, process engineers, test and reliability engineers. Good communication and interaction with the supporting expertise centers is a major requirement for this job.
- You have obtained a PhD degree in physics or electrical engineering.
- You have minimum 8-year experience in a semiconductor environment.
- A solid background and experience in Silicon Photonics is a must.
- Knowledge of optical test, electrical test and failure analysis is a significant asset.
- You are an enthusiastic team player with project management capabilities and show high level of independence.
- You have excellent English communication skills.
- You are willing to work in a highly dynamic and multicultural environment.
- This position is based in Leuven, Belgium. You either live in Belgium or are willing to relocate.
