Overview:**Position contingent upon contract award**SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Data Scientist to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract insights from complex datasets.
Architect data science solutions to address critical business or mission challenges.
Direct the application of machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
Establish best practices for data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions.
Oversee the deployment and monitoring of data science models.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
An active Secret security clearance with an SSBI.
DOD Work Role 423 Certs: Security+ or CAP or vendor-specific advanced certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate, IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, Google Data Machine Learning).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Working Conditions:
Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
