As part of the packaging team, you will deliver innovation for the glass packaging technologies to save costs, avoid capex, reduce carbon the footprint and improve product quality. This through leading global projects and consulting zone projects.Developing better, lighter and more sustainable bottles
  • You design and deliver breakthrough glass packaging technologies by leading global projects, starting from feasibility studies through development and - later - first implementation.
  • You are responsible for the overall platform tracking and monitoring, focusing on the full supply chain (glass chemistry to packaging to transport of bottles).
  • You are responsible to identify, scope and verify new technologies and opportunities, and can identify partnerships and competencies need to bring innovation.
  • You collaborate daily with internal and external partners, and work with many different stakeholders across the globe to bring desired results.
  • You contribute actively to the ongoing research and test efforts around the lightweighting of bottles.
Bringing in expertise to accelerate innovation
  • You bring at least 5 years of profound professional technical expertise on glass container converting, and can explain the bottle making process in detail.
  • You have in-depth understanding of chemistry and packaging design, and ideally already worked in a glass container (bottles, jars,…) manufacturing environment.
  • You are certified in Design of Experiment (DOE) or 6 Sigma, or bring equivalent experience through several successful continuous improvement projects.
  • You have the ability to lead and manage projects, as well as manage a project portfolio with a high level of complexity.
  • You are fluent in English and able to travel up to 30% (outside of Belgium).
