BCW will feed that drive by rewarding courageous tenacity and nurturing your dynamic career.The RoleWe are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven bilingual Communications Intern with a focus on the Belgium/Luxembourg market to join our award-winning communications agency for a 6-month paid internship starting in April/May 2024.We know that unicorns don’t exist. Still, we are looking for someone with strengths and a desire to grow in key areas such as creative thinking, writing, data and digital intelligence, social media and campaigning, or media relations. If that is you, our collaborative and international team can provide a dynamic learning environment and the opportunity to work on challenging projects.You’ll be part of the Digital & Creative Communications Hub. You’ll support us as we transform complex issues – including policy issues – into engaging and accessible content in the hybrid space between paid, earned, shared and owned media. Supported by data-driven insights, our work empowers clients to reach their objectives through effective communication.We provide a space for each team member to constantly grow and develop, with each project providing a new opportunity to expand our collective knowledge and capabilities.What you’ll do as you move with us
  • Apply a critical lens and take an editorial perspective to produce high-quality written work in French/English that reflects our clients' needs
  • Carry out media and stakeholder monitoring, research and analysis of issues, developments, and trends to ensure the client is alerted on relevant topics
  • Transform complex policy messages into engaging communication materials
  • Take a holistic look at communications and monitor campaign results across all channels
  • Gain an understanding of the client's business, challenges and opportunities
  • Think outside the bubble as you participate in brainstorming sessions, help develop new business and support digital campaign development and implementation for multi-market European projects across various channels
  • Work hand-in-hand with the client leader/project manager on executing all necessary tasks on client accounts
RequirementsWho are you?
  • Excellent spoken and written French communications skills (C2)
  • Excellent spoken and written English communications skills (C1/C2)
  • Proactive, eager to learn and excited to get a first experience in a digital and creative communications role working with Belgian and European clients
  • Passionate about research, editorial work and data-driven storytelling
  • Understands or has the desire to dive deep into the Belgian media landscape
  • Unafraid to look at and beyond the numbers and challenge the status quo to find more effective ways to communicate
  • Knowledge of digital and the social media landscape (basically the world we live in) with strong tech skills
  • Critical thinker with a desire and ability to learn within a fast-paced environment
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Good at time management, prioritisation and meeting deadlines
  • A real collaborator and team player
What we offer:
  • A 6-month agreement under Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle – (CIP)
