A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior Data Quality Officer to join its Data Governance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high data quality standards, regulatory compliance (including BCBS 239), and the continuous improvement of the organization’s data governance framework.Responsibilities
🔹 Data Quality Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement data quality policies, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to capture data quality requirements
- Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239
- Lead data quality audits and produce reports for senior management
- Drive the continuous enhancement of governance processes
- Design KPIs and dashboards to track data quality metrics
- Perform root cause analysis of data issues and oversee remediation plans
- Establish data controls and validation mechanisms to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to promote data reliability across the organization
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field within financial services
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., BCBS 239)
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data flows
- Experience with data quality tools and reporting platforms
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is an asset
