DEVOPS Engineer - background DEV Java - région MONS - PME leader mondial dans son secteur

• The primary purpose of the role is to take responsibility for software development, application administration, operational support and continuous delivery capability of the company Systems and Services, also ensuring that these Services are operated within their agreed Service levels.
• In this role you will be responsible for developing software solutions that meet the expectations of the business and, in particular, deliver to the customer experience service principles.
• You will ensure that solutions are best in breed, continuously enhanced and are supported with appropriate build, deployment & operational management capabilities such that they remain operationally supportable, scalable and secure.
• You will also participate in activities such as installing, deploying, configuring, programming, testing and writing documentation.

• Develop software at all layers of the service solution stac
• Contribute to the definition, scope and phasing of project timelines, with a focus on business value delivery, technical delivery & design options
• Provide software development, application administration and database administration solutions for business needs and functional specifications
• Prepare and commission software applications and code & platform changes for deployment to testing and production environments, aligned to business needs
• Create detailed documentation for code and designs

• Actively monitor and manage applications, environments and services within the IT Department responsibility to ensure they operate within their agreed SLAs
• Actively respond to system incidents and problems
• Ensure security, performance and data integrity standards are upheld

• Research and contribute to the evolution of the software development, deployment environments and Infrastructure by implementing best practices and cutting edge technologies & tool for continuous integration, build automation, deployment automation and configuration management

• Master's degree in computer engineering
• Experience in application development in Java including maintenance and systems administration
• Experience in developing software solutions in DevOps culture involving implementation and maintenance of DevOps practices and toolchain.
• Experience participating in the full systems lifecycle with solution design, development, implementation and support using Agile practices

• Fluent in English & French
• Knowledge in JavaEE is mandatory
• Knowledge on Java Quarkus Framework would be a plus.
• Knowledge on Data Science/Data Engineering would be a plus.
• Knowledge on Docker & Kubernetes would be a plus.
