- Gather, organize and analyse market, industry related data from various sources, including industry reports, competitor websites and market studies.
- Build software models and applications to shorten significantly the data processing needed for market intelligence purposes.
- Prepare in depth analysis on selected future markets which will lead to quantitative forecasts
- Accompany the business, translating data and information into actionable business insights, whether in the short or in the long term.
- Analyse the financial and investor Reports of our Competitors to extract meaningful information on their economic exposure and spending.
- Utilize the information from web, purchased databases and other public sources for benchmarking and to draw scenarios on competitors' strategies.
- Proposes and executes Scouting strategy, within the EU, relative to the products future evolution, consumer and commercial.
- Follows and Reports on Technological trends and Business models occurring in the EU automotive environment
- Long Term Intelligence projects: Research planning, execution with internal and external stakeholders
- Education and Language:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Engineering. A higher degree is a plus
- Fluent in English. Basic understanding of French and German - as local languages of our key competitors
- Experience (years):
- 3 years of experience in automotive or in a position of Market Intelligence within the EU Industry or as a business consultant
- Competencies:
- Good strategic understanding of business and product requirements
- Keen interest in Technology and Innovation, both in terms of products, solutions and methods.
- Ability to analyse and synthesize large amounts of data and information
- Hands on experience in Statistics and Statistical tools. Further ability to work with large databases.
- Detailed knowledge in multiple data domains - Familiarity with a variety of data assets such as geo-spatial data, time-series data, sensor signals, prices, etc.) - including predictive analytics. Should have worked with analytics and data visualization tools
- Continuously monitor and keep abreast of tools, methodologies, data, and competitive movement and respond with strategies and tactics to maintain or alter strategy
- A natural easiness and intellectual inclination/curiosity into the digital world/Internet of things and its variety of implications.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in R and/or Python is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to work in a larger team with many people often scattered worldwide, and good communication skills in interacting with colleagues and external suppliers.
