Urgency: High - interviews ongoingWe're supporting a top international company in the packaging manufacturing sector to find an Environmental Health Safety Specialist who can drive health, safety, and environmental excellence across a dynamic production site. The company is well-established globally, known for sustainable innovation and operational reliability, and has recently expanded its European presence through a major acquisition.What you'll be doing
- Champion a culture of safety and environmental awareness across the site.
- Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for staff.
- Ensure compliance with Belgian and EU environmental, health & safety regulations.
- Evaluate new equipment and projects to ensure alignment with technical safety standards.
- Monitor and report EHS KPIs and support audits.
- Conduct risk assessments, lead CPBW activities, and manage the Global Prevention Plan.
- Collaborate with internal departments on sustainability and energy reduction initiatives.
- A strong safety-first mindset and a hands-on approach.
- Prevention Advisor Level II certificate (or openness to obtain it shortly after hiring).
- Prior EHS experience in a manufacturing or GMP environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Belgian safety/environmental legislation.
- Strong administrative and reporting skills (MS Office proficiency).
- Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.
