About ENTSO-EENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. During the internship, the successful candidate will enhance and apply her/his knowledge by contributing to the innovation activities of the section and in particular aspects related to innovative technologies and their applications, system flexibility and digitalisation.The preferred start date is October 15, 2025, though we can be flexible based on the selected candidate’s availability. The internship is ideally for a duration of 6 monthsKey objectives of the internshipThe successful candidate is expected to:
Conduct desk research on innovation trends relevant to the Transmission System Operators (e.g. digitalisation, system flexibility, grid integration, innovative technologies etc.)
Contribute to communication materials and reports on innovation activities
Assist in the preparations of relevant workshops, stakeholder meetings and presentations
Support administrative and coordination tasks within the Innovation Section and with other ENTSO-E Sections where needed.
Specific responsibilities may be finetuned together with the candidate.Your profileWe are looking for a candidate with the following skills and abilities:
Studying towards a university degree in engineering, economics or environmental field with specialisation in electricity business
Previous experience in the energy sector (e.g. previous internships) and/ or demonstrated interest in the energy sector, would be considered an asset.
Ability to organize own work and establish priorities together with his supervisor.
Team player, result-oriented and able to work autonomously.
Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Internship requirements
Be eligible to reside in EU (meaning EU citizen or valid residence card).
Be a full-time studen. The internship must be issued by your university as part of your studies.
Have a personal (or provided by university) health insurance valid for Belgium during the period of the internship.
Be able to sign an internship agreement with the university.
Agree on exact length of the internship and schedule (full time or part time).
