- Act as a financial advisor and sparring partner to local Managing Directors.
- Translate financial data into business insight to support client profitability, cost efficiency, resource allocation, and pricing decisions.
- Contribute to strategic projects, new business models, and investment evaluations.
- Help shape country-level business plans and performance targets.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles across both Belgium and the Netherlands.
- Oversee monthly closings, cash flow forecasting, and P&L analysis.
- Produce and present business reviews (monthly flash reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets) to group stakeholders.
- Supervise financial submissions via tools
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, audit, and legal obligations in both jurisdictions.
- Act as the key point of contact for external advisors (auditors, tax, legal) and internal stakeholders.
- Validate intercompany reconciliations, transfer pricing documentation, and audit files.
- Support the ongoing merger of business units, promoting cross-border alignment.
- Drive harmonisation of financial processes and performance metrics.
- Build a “OneTeam” culture within the finance function, balancing group cohesion with local agility.
- Coordinate with the Shared Services Center for transactional operations: accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, etc.
- Lead by influence: this is a high-impact role without direct people management but with substantial collaborative responsibilities across teams.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in international and service-based environments.
- Strong financial controller foundations combined with strategic and commercial acumen.
- Experience working within matrix organizations and managing cross-country financial operations.
- Proven ability to challenge assumptions, interpret complex financial data, and provide clear recommendations to business leaders.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP a plus), budgeting tools and accounting software.
- Fluent in English and French; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Belgium and the Netherlands (2 days/week on each site - Brussels and Amsterdam)
