Get in touch!As Back-end DeveloperI am a crucial part of GIM’s product team where I help to build and extend Belmap, our geodata flagship product. My precise nature combined with our well organized and described processes and procedures, help me to navigate this complex product with a focus on quality and stability. Querying back-end systems and developing data pipelines are no strangers to me but rather a key aspect in my work as back-end engineer. My expertise with relational databases, SQL, Python and FastAPI is a prerequisite to start successfully in my role. I collaborate with data scientists to build and optimize these data pipelines and improve the data accuracy of the Belmap product. The use of version control and CI/CD systems ensure a successful collaboration and accelerates the deployment process.My knowledge about GIS (QGIS), Spatial Data and ETL is nice to have, though probably not a prerequisite to start successfully in my role. However, my interest for the Geo-ICT domain helps me to understand the underlying business context of our product and the enormous amount of possibilities it provides.My communicative nature and a solution-oriented and positive mindset are important attributes as they help me to successfully collaborate within the Belmap product team.
