Overview:Fluxys Belgium ensures that its activities comply with safety, occupational health, environmental protection, and process quality standards.In this context, the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) department analyzes and monitors the risks associated with the development, operation, and maintenance of its facilities.The Security service is responsible for developing and implementing a clear and coherent security policy aligned with the development of our activities, the evolving geopolitical context, and the strengthening of the legislative framework.To reinforce the department, we are looking to recruit a Security ManagerJob purposeYou are responsible for ensuring the compliance with the physical security legislation, developing maintaining and applying a responsible and realistic security policy with the subsequent action plans for our activities. In order to achieve this, you will also be required to engage with a broad range of stakeholders and formally represent Fluxys at both national and international levels, including in working groups and official governmental meetings, in alignment with a pre-established position.Your responsibilitiesSecurity Policy
You are responsible for drafting a comprehensive security policy, defining actionable plans, and overseeing their effective implementation across the organization. In parallel, you ensure clear and consistent communication on security performance, both internally and externally, to foster transparency and continuous improvement
Legal Compliance
You monitor, analyze and interpret physical security legislation, identifying impacts on company policies and operations
You advise management and relevant teams on compliance measures and oversee their implementation
You ensure proactive enforcement of legal requirements related to physical security
You supervise the setup and coordination of security screening processes for critical internal roles and contractors
External Representation
You represent Fluxys in national and international security-related working groups and in official dialogues with competent authorities, always based on a pre-agreed position
You contribute your expertise to influence the drafting of security standards and legislation
You ensure clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to security
Risk Identification & Incident Analysis
You map, identify and lead the analysis of new and existing physical security risks through ongoing engagement with internal and external stakeholders
You analyze security incidents to uncover root causes and recommend improvements to existing policies or preventive measures
Team management
You lead a team currently composed of external collaborators
You support your team members, consult with them regularly, and encourage their development by fostering a constructive and open dialogue
About you
You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in Engineering, Law, Political Sciences,…
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in physical security, risk management, or compliance — gained in private, public or NGO sector operating in sensitive or high-risk environments.
You have
Developed and implemented security policies and action plans aligned with national and international legislation
Conducted risk assessments, internal audits, and preventive measures to ensure physical security
Represented your organization in official meetings and working groups at both national and international levels
Worked closely with various stakeholders, including government bodies, law enforcement, and strategic partners
You demonstrate strong analytical skills that enable you to anticipate risks and take preventive action.
You are known for your diplomatic communication, strategic thinking, and ability to navigate sensitive topics with professionalism and discretion. Your approach fosters collaboration and alignment among diverse stakeholders.
You remain calm under pressure and know how to build consensus around clearly defined positions.
You are fluent in French or Dutch, have a good command of the other national language, and are fully proficient in English.
