JOB PURPOSE:
  • We are looking for a LSCM Regional Business Controller for the newly created Primary Region reporting directly to the EMEA LSCM Logistics Director and dotted line to the EMEA LSCM Finance Lead. This is a cross-regional role, based in Zaventem.
  • You will have a 360 degree responsibility of the business controlling activities for all the Primary Logistics Distribution Centers located in Spain and Italy.
  • You will act as Business Partner of the LSCM Logistics Director ensuring the adequate quantitative instruments, KPIs, cost variance analysis are timely made available to support his sound business decisions making.
  • You will be part of an EMEA LSCM Business Controlling functional team with a structured monthly routines and standardized reporting tools, you will be an active participant in utilizing and enhancing the Logistics and Supply Chain business controlling methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preparation of the month end LSCM Performance Package to track warehousing and logistics costs across the primary warehouses, coordination of the centralized Accounting Department in order to ensure the monthly and yearly closing process deadlines are fulfilled.
  • Leadership role in the elaboration of the yearly budget and quarterly financial forecast of the Primary region distribution centers.
  • Anticipation and suggestions to the business partner of resolutions of operating issues that are impacting the financial results.
  • Responsible of the financial analysis of the key investment decisions initiated by the LSCM Logistics Director.
  • Ensure compliance with all the relevant Bridgestone EMEA internal control and finance policies.
  • Responsible for providing/coordinating ad-hoc data requests
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in Logistics business controlling roles in multinational and industrial companies.
  • Previous experience in Freight cost controlling and cost forecasting with clear understanding of logistic flows as driver of the overall cost metrics.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, SAP FI-CO modules, previous experience with SAP Business Intelligence Tools.
  • Extraordinary analytical and problem solving skills, willingness to take on related additional tasks and expand upon current responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Capability to work on details but with the clear understanding of the concept of materiality, advanced presentation skills with the requirement to adjust the communication style and level of detail depending on the audience.
  • Ability to work in an international environment team with the availability to travel abroad (approximately 6 times per year).
  • Track record of controlling improvement projects in a lean and continuous-improvement environment.
  • Strong commitment to meeting tight deadlines, under certain level of stress, self-motivated and flexibility to work afterhours as necessary, ability to successfully manage ambiguity and deliver on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Languages skills: fluent English (both oral and written) is a mandatory requirement, fluency in Spanish or Italian are considered a plus.
